Finding who you need
shouldn't take three
phone calls
and a Facebook group.
We're building the directory the homesteading community has needed for years.
If you've tried to find a farrier in a new county, you know how this goes. Google gives you a list of businesses that moved, retired, or don't take new clients. Facebook groups help — if you happen to know which one to ask in. Word of mouth works — if you've lived somewhere long enough to have the words.
Finding vetted, local homestead service providers is genuinely hard. It's harder in rural areas. It's harder when you're new. And there's no good reason it should be this way.
"There's no good reason finding a local butcher should be harder than finding a restaurant."
The Easy Homestead is a directory of service providers — farriers, butchers, hatcheries, feed stores, livestock vets, and more — searchable by county. Every listing is verified before it goes live.
We don't list providers we can't vouch for. Contact details are checked. Business status is confirmed. If a listing goes stale, we remove it.
Search within a radius of your county. See who's actually near you — not a national chain 90 miles away.
Every provider is contacted directly. We confirm they're active, accepting clients, and reachable before anything goes live.
Homesteaders recommend providers they've used and trust. That's how the directory grows — not from us, from you.
A listing in our directory means we've done the work. Here's what that looks like:
We're a small team. We homestead. We know what it's like to move somewhere new and spend a week trying to track down a reliable butcher, a vet who sees goats, or a feed store that carries what you actually need.
We built this because we kept running into the same wall. No VC money. No growth targets. Just a directory that works.
The directory isn't open yet.
Get in early.
We'll email you when listings are live in your state — and not before.
