So this year I went looking for the best ones.

Snoopy Christmas decor for the house and yard
1. Plywood Snoopy on his doghouse for the yard
SaveCredit: Lovely Etc
This is the one I would make first. Lovely Etc cut Snoopy asleep on his red doghouse out of a single 2 by 4 foot sheet of half inch plywood, painted it with outdoor paint and wrapped it in a strand of big old fashioned colored bulbs, just like the movie.
She used a jigsaw for the shape, an oil based paint marker for the black lines and a wooden stake drilled to the back so it stands in the lawn. She shares the measurements too, so you do not have to draw Snoopy freehand.
2. Poster board doghouse above the dog bed
SaveCredit: Kolchak Puggle
If you have a real dog, give them a Snoopy doghouse of their own. Kolchak Puggle made this wall decoration from two sheets of red poster board and one white sheet for the snowy roof, all from the dollar store for under 5 dollars.
The black lines are electrical tape cut down the middle with a wobbly cut so they look hand drawn. She topped it with a garland and foam ornaments, and she reminds you to pick decorations that are safe for your own dog.
3. Paint a birdhouse into Snoopy’s doghouse
SaveCredit: Inspiration Made Simple
A plain wood birdhouse already has the right pointed roof. Inspiration Made Simple bought one at Walmart, painted it red, added the black lines and set a stuffed Snoopy on top.
It took one coat of paint and a few strokes of black, and it makes a sweet little centerpiece for a side table or a shelf next to the tree all December.
4. A real Charlie Brown tree from a pine cutting
SaveCredit: Sustain My Craft Habit
You cannot have a Snoopy Christmas without the little tree. Sustain My Craft Habit used a longleaf pine cutting about 3 feet long and built the cross stand from leftover hardwood flooring boards, with a hole drilled in the middle for the branch.
One red ornament at the top is the whole point. She also suggests wrapping a scrap of felt around the base as Linus’s blanket if you want the full scene.
5. A cardboard doghouse for the party table
SaveCredit: Fandango
For a Peanuts Christmas party, the doghouse is the centerpiece. This host built it from a craft store cardboard box with two 12 inch squares taped together for the roof, then covered it in dark red paper with black paper stripes.
She pulled most of the rest from her own Christmas storage and added little airplanes from the craft store for Snoopy the Flying Ace.
Snoopy Christmas ornaments and crafts
6. Snoopy light bulb ornament
SaveCredit: Just a Little Creativity
Just a Little Creativity sold these at a Christmas craft show, and they went faster than almost anything else on her table. An old light bulb is spray painted white, then two teardrop ears cut from black craft foam are hot glued to the sides.
The stocking cap is a rectangle of Christmas fabric folded into a cuff, glued around the neck of the bulb, tied at the top and fringed. A black paint pen adds the eyes, nose and smile.
7. Charlie Brown tree inside a clear ornament
SaveCredit: It All Started With Paint
It All Started With Paint tucked a whole Charlie Brown tree into a clear plastic ball that opens in half. The tree is a sprig from her own evergreen, and the red ornament is a tiny jingle bell.
The stand is two little pieces of balsa wood glued into a cross, with a strip of blue fleece for Linus’s blanket. A little salt in the bottom half looks like snow.
8. Crochet Snoopy and Charlie Brown ornaments
SaveCredit: Repeat Crafter Me
If you crochet, Repeat Crafter Me has a free pattern for a Snoopy head ornament with a matching Charlie Brown ball in his yellow and black zigzag. She says it works up quickly with very little yarn.
They make a sweet handmade gift tied onto a package, and they will not break if the cat knocks them off the tree.
9. Crochet doghouse with Christmas lights
SaveCredit: Repeat Crafter Me
This doghouse square from Repeat Crafter Me is stitched in red and black with a snowy roofline and a string of tiny lights stitched across it. Her doghouse applique pattern is free, and she suggests it for holiday pillows.
Sew one onto a plain throw pillow cover and you have a Snoopy pillow for the couch that you can tuck away after the holidays.
10. Clothespin Snoopy and Red Baron airplanes
SaveCredit: Crafts by Amanda
The old Snoopy’s Christmas song is all about Snoopy and the Red Baron, so these little planes fit right in on the tree. Crafts by Amanda built them from wooden clothespins and craft sticks, painted in red and yellow with paint pens for the markings.
She made them for older kids who want a craft with a few real steps. Glue a loop of twine to the top and they hang like ornaments.
11. A free Charlie Brown quote printable
SaveCredit: Just a Little Creativity
Just a Little Creativity also made this free printable with a Charlie Brown line about what really matters at Christmas, set under a bright geometric tree.
Print it, drop it in a dollar store frame and lean it on the mantel next to your little tree. It is the easiest decoration on this list.
Snoopy Christmas treats and cookies
12. Snoopy peppermint bark
SaveCredit: Party Pinching
Party Pinching layers milk chocolate with a touch of peppermint extract and white chocolate on top, then covers it with Snoopy shaped peppermint cocoa graham snacks, peppermint marshmallows, Andes mint bits and Christmas sprinkles.
Her one tip that matters is to spread the white chocolate while the milk chocolate is still soft and tacky, or the two layers will split apart when you break it.
13. Peppermint hot cocoa mousse cups
SaveCredit: Party Pinching
These no bake cups are made for watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. Party Pinching beats cream cheese and butter with five packets of peppermint hot cocoa mix, folds in mini marshmallows and Cool Whip, and spoons it into little glass mugs.
Top them with more whipped topping, a Snoopy cookie and crushed candy cane right before you serve them.
14. Peppermint hot cocoa puppy chow
SaveCredit: Party Pinching
Puppy chow for Snoopy just makes sense. Party Pinching coats 4 cups of Chex cereal in melted chocolate, then shakes it in a bag with powdered sugar and peppermint hot cocoa mix.
Spread it on a sheet pan and toss in mini marshmallows, broken candy canes, holiday M and Ms and Snoopy graham snacks. Serve it in a dog bowl for a laugh.
15. Snoopy crinkle cookies
SaveCredit: Party Pinching
Party Pinching found a Snoopy crinkle cookie box mix and says, in a post that is not sponsored, that it is as good as any crinkle cookie she has had. You stir in melted butter and eggs, roll the dough in powdered sugar and bake.
Roll each ball twice in the sugar for that bright white crackle, and serve them with a cold glass of milk in a Snoopy cup.
16. Charlie Brown tree rice krispie treats
SaveCredit: Party Pinching
Party Pinching made these at three holiday workshops at the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Store bought rice krispie treats get a chocolate frosting trunk piped like a bent candy cane, two or three branches and green jimmies.
A red mini M and M at the top is the ornament, and a swipe of white frosting along the bottom is the snow. Stick in a striped paper straw for a handle.
17. Puffer jacket Snoopy cookies
SaveCredit: Party Pinching
Remember the puffer jacket Snoopy plush that sold out everywhere? Party Pinching turned it into sugar cookies with a snowman cutter, so the round bottom becomes the puffy pale blue jacket.
She decorated them with royal icing, a white Snoopy face and a striped green stocking cap. A snowman cutter you already own is all you need.
18. Snoopy’s doghouse Oreo cookies
SaveCredit: All for the Boys
All for the Boys covers Oreos in melted almond bark using a cookie mold, then decorates them as the whole Peanuts gang. The doghouse is a red one with five black icing lines.
White icing and snowflake sprinkles make the snowy roof, and halved mini M and Ms pressed into two strands of black icing are the Christmas lights.
19. Snoopy cake pops
SaveCredit: Bakerella
Bakerella shaped her cake pop dough into Snoopy’s head and used whole almonds for his ears, glued on with a dab of melted white candy coating before dipping.
She tried a flat cartoon version and a rounder one with an ear on each side. For Christmas, add a little red candy melt stocking cap to each pop.
20. Peanuts marshmallow pops for hot cocoa
SaveCredit: The Decorated Cookie
The Decorated Cookie draws the Peanuts gang right onto big marshmallows with edible ink markers, then pushes them onto lollipop sticks.
Snoopy, Woodstock and the red doghouse are the easiest to draw. Stand them in a jar next to a pot of hot cocoa and let everyone stir with one.
21. Peanuts gang sugar cookies
SaveCredit: Sweet Sugar Belle
Sweet Sugar Belle made a whole plate of Snoopy, Woodstock and Charlie Brown cookies, plus round cookies with his zigzag stripe. She marks the zigzag by pressing a chevron cutter lightly into the dough before baking.
After baking you outline and flood with royal icing. The zigzag rounds are a good place to start if you are new to cookie decorating.
22. Snoopy gingerbread doghouse
SaveCredit: Fandango
Skip the usual gingerbread cottage this year and build Snoopy’s house instead. This version cuts each gingerbread piece from a paper pattern right on the cookie sheet, two of each.
Once the pieces cool, cover them in red icing, add thin black lines with an icing pen and glue the walls and roof together with more red frosting. Set a little Snoopy beside it.
23. Snoopy snack mix with almond Snoopys
SaveCredit: Fandango
This snack mix tosses kettle corn, pretzels and jelly beans together. The fun part is the yogurt covered almonds, which become little Snoopy heads with an edible ink pen.
Draw the eyes, eyebrows and smile, a big black oval ear on one side and a little round nose on the other, and let the ink dry before you stir them in.
Snoopy Christmas lunches and party ideas
24. Santa Snoopy lunch box
SaveCredit: Lunchbox Dad
Lunchbox Dad makes a Snoopy Christmas lunch every year. Snoopy is cut from a tortilla using a printed picture as a guide, with food coloring markers for his features and red collar, and stuffed with sliced meat and cheese.
His Santa hat is red bell pepper with cream cheese, and he sits on top of holiday pretzels.
25. Babybel doghouse with candy lights
SaveCredit: Lunchbox Dad
In the same lunch, a Babybel cheese is cut into the shape of Snoopy’s doghouse, with the red wax left on for the walls and roof.
Tiny bits of fondant make the colored Christmas lights, and the doghouse sits on a scoop of holiday trail mix. A cucumber slice folded onto a toothpick makes the tree.
26. Lucy’s booth goodie bag stand
SaveCredit: Inspiration Made Simple
For a Peanuts party, Inspiration Made Simple built Lucy’s psychiatric help booth from a Walmart crate, two 1 inch dowels and a scrap of wood, all lettered with a Sharpie.
They used it to hold the goodie bags, which got Snoopy and Charlie Brown faces cut from black cardstock. Swap in red and green bags for a Christmas party.
How to set up a Snoopy Christmas corner
Start with the doghouse, because it is the one thing everybody recognizes. A painted birdhouse, a cardboard box or a poster board cutout all work, as long as it is red with black lines and has a white snowy roof.
Add the little tree next to it. A bare branch with one red ornament and a scrap of blue fabric at the base reads as Charlie Brown right away.
Use big old fashioned colored bulbs. The multicolor lights on Snoopy’s doghouse are a huge part of the look, so skip the white fairy lights here.
Finish with Woodstock yellow and a few airplane or Flying Ace touches, and keep the rest of the room simple so Snoopy stands out.
Snoopy Christmas FAQ
What colors go with a Snoopy Christmas? Red, white and black from the doghouse, plus a little green from the tree and yellow for Woodstock. Big multicolor bulbs pull it all together.
What is the easiest Snoopy Christmas craft for kids? The marshmallow pops and the almond Snoopy snack mix only need an edible ink pen. The poster board doghouse and the painted birdhouse are next, with a grown up on scissors and paint.
How do I make a Charlie Brown Christmas tree? Use a thin pine or evergreen branch about 2 to 3 feet long, stand it in a simple wooden cross base, hang one red ornament near the top and wrap a scrap of blue fabric around the bottom for Linus’s blanket.
Can I put Christmas lights on an outdoor wooden cutout? Yes. Use outdoor rated lights, seal the painted wood with an outdoor clear coat or outdoor paint, and attach the strand with clips or small hooks so you are not stapling through the wire.
What treats go with a Charlie Brown Christmas movie night? Peppermint hot cocoa mousse cups, Snoopy puppy chow, crinkle cookies and the Charlie Brown tree rice krispie treats are all easy and can be made ahead of time.
