By accessing theeasyhomestead.com — whether as a visitor, a homesteader using the directory, or a business listing on it — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

These terms apply to all parts of the platform: the blog, the directory, the listing claim flow, review submissions, and any paid plans.

The Easy Homestead directory contains listings seeded from public agricultural and licensing records, as well as listings created or claimed directly by business owners. We are a discovery platform — we are not a party to any transaction or service agreement between a listed business and a homesteader.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current availability of any listing. Unclaimed listings in particular may contain outdated phone numbers, retired providers, or businesses that no longer serve the listed category. Always call before you commit to a booking or drive.

Verified/claimed status means we confirmed the business owner's identity — it is not an endorsement of the quality of their services. Reviews provide that signal; we provide the infrastructure for honest, verified reviews.

If you are the owner or authorized representative of a business listed on The Easy Homestead, you may claim your listing through the verified claim flow. Claiming requires phone verification and agreement to these terms.

By claiming a listing, you represent that:

• You are authorized to represent the business
• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You will update the listing if your contact information, service area, or availability changes significantly

You may request removal of your business listing at any time by emailing us. We'll process removal requests within 5 business days.

Reviews posted on The Easy Homestead must reflect genuine first-hand experience with the listed business. You agree not to post:

• Reviews for businesses you haven't personally used
• Reviews on behalf of a business about itself or a competitor
• False, defamatory, or malicious content
• Spam, promotional content, or content that contains personal information about a third party

We moderate reviews for these violations. We do not suppress honest negative reviews. If a business disputes a review, we investigate — if the review violates these terms we'll remove it; if it doesn't, it stays.

By submitting a review, you grant The Easy Homestead a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it as part of the directory service.

Blog content submitted to The Easy Homestead (guest posts, tips, contributed content) is subject to the same license grant. We may edit for clarity and brand consistency.

The Easy Homestead offers free basic listings and optional paid plans. Current plan structure:

Paid plans are billed monthly. You can cancel anytime — your Enhanced or Featured status remains active through the end of the billing period, then reverts to the free tier. We do not offer prorated refunds for cancellations mid-period.

Billing is processed via Stripe. We do not store your payment card information. For billing disputes, contact us within 30 days of the charge.

You may not use The Easy Homestead to:

• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect listing data without written permission
• Create fake listings, fake reviews, or impersonate a business you don't represent
• Use the platform to harass, threaten, or defame any person or business
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or another user's account
• Submit spam, automated content, or promotional material disguised as reviews or tips
• Interfere with the operation of the platform in any way

Violations may result in removal of your content, listing, or account without notice or refund.

All original content on The Easy Homestead — blog articles, design, copy, photography, and the directory infrastructure — is owned by The Easy Homestead and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute our content without prior written permission.

You may share links to any page. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source.

Business information in directory listings (name, address, phone number) is factual data that cannot be copyrighted. The presentation, curation, and trust layer built around that data is ours.

The Easy Homestead is provided "as is." We make no warranties — express or implied — about the accuracy of directory listings, the quality of any listed business, the results of any homesteading advice in our content, or the uninterrupted availability of the platform.

We are not a party to any transaction, service agreement, or dispute between a homesteader and a listed business. We are a discovery platform. The relationship is between you and the business you find here.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of The Easy Homestead is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 if you have not paid us anything).

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

We won't retroactively apply new terms to past transactions or billing periods.
